Customers often ask us for combing tips. These can be customised to suit the customer’s specific treatment depending on what type it is but generally, the following tips can be used following the application of a treatment( Note- this is written based on using a long pin comb)

Prepare by having a clean towel, hair clips, facial tissues and a regular comb (preferably with wide space teeth) for parting and detangling the hair.

Apply treatment carefully following instructions.

Comb out the hair with a regular comb to remove tangles.

Take a 15-25mm section of hair in your fingers. Place the tapered pins on to the scalp as close to the hair roots as possible.

Drag the comb down the section of hair to the hair ends in one continuous movement.

Wipe lice and eggs off the comb using the tissues or towel.

Pin back the section of hair you have just combed with a hair clip.

Take another 15-25mm section of hair in your fingers and repeat the process.

After you have pinned and combed the entire head, remove all pins and wash them with the comb in warm soapy water. Dry with a clean towel.

Rinse hair thoroughly to remove all the treatment. Dry with a clean towel.

Discard any tissues and wash the towels according to laundry directions.
